SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

May 25, 2020Horsemanship

6:00 pm

The Bull Pen – Thorlakson Feedyards East on Hwy 567 and North 2.4 km on Range Road 284

In the Horsemanship Competition contestants will be judged on their balance, hand positioning, feet, seat, and ability to control their horse. There will be mounting, dismounting, rail work, two reining patterns, a flag pattern and a presentation ride, which is called a wave lap.

May 28, 2020 - Public Speaking

6:00 pm “Tentative - Subject to Change”

Bethany Airdrie, 1736 1 Ave NW, Airdrie

Public speaking is a life skill we encourage our contestants and crowned Royalty to develop through practice and impromptu questions. This year’s Public Speaking Competition will take place at the Bethany Care Centre in Airdrie starting at 6 pm. The contestants will present a 3 to 4-minute long prepared, memorized speech as well as be given impromptu questions. They will be judged on their ability to present their prepared speech and their answers to the impromptu questions.

This is a fundraiser for our Royalty Program to help cover expenses for the Royalty duo as they attend local and provincial events during the year of their reign. Silent Auction, live auction, 50/50, appetizers & fashion show featuring the Royalty duo, the 2020 Royalty contestants and other fabulous volunteers.
